After Care and Returns Policy

Our Luxury hair has a longevity of 12 months, but any concern with the hair must be reported to us via email to the Customer Service Department within a maximum of 30 days of the receipt date; this is due to human hair being a consumable item during wear.

Any hair returned to be tested for alleged quality issues must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase for both the extensions and aftercare.

Hair that is being returned to Pure Lengths for testing must be approved by the Quality Control department. Any goods received without the appropriate paperwork will not be processed until the correct paperwork is received. Failure to provide the completed paperwork within 14 days will result in the goods being destroyed. This will be given at the time of approval via email.

Any colouring, toning including silver and purple shampooing or tinting of extensions is done entirely at the customers own risk and we will not test, refund or exchange any extensions that have been exposed to the above nor will Pure Lengths accept hair back that has been altered in any way. All hair extensions must be returned in the original product colour and format.

Goods are not considered faulty if their condition deteriorates due to poor hair management including heat damage, incorrect aftercare, or poor application. If no fault is present, or the hair has been damaged or coloured in any way, the goods will be returned to the customer at a cost, and we will not refund or replace the goods.

Heat over 180 degrees should not be used on Pure Lengths hair extensions.

We do not guarantee the use of our hair extensions whilst on holiday/in warmer climates for various reasons, including discolouration of the hair when coming into contact with swimming pool chlorine and the hair drying out through excess heat. We strongly advise all customers using hair extensions to avoid both chlorine and seawater as this can damage hair and hair colour.

HAIR DISCOLOURATION

Hair extensions may change colour over time or due to environmental factors which can also include some standard beauty products and excessive heat. Extra care should be taken to avoid the hair coming in contact with sun protection creams, oils, perfume and false tanning products. Contact with such products will cause the hair to turn peach/pink or copper colour, this can also happen if the hair encounters high mineral content found mostly found in pool water and seawater, this is due to a chemical reaction that is not classed as a manufacturing fault.

No returns on sale hair.

Extensions are costly, to protect your investment and extend the lifespan on your new hair coat strands with a lightweight veil. The safest way to blow dry and heat style your hair is to a thermal spray to protect your hair from styling tools. The heat protection should be applied to damp hair and blow dried into strands before any heat is applied.
  1. Washing:

    • Use sulfate-free and extension-safe shampoos and conditioners.
    • Gently wash the scalp area without rubbing or tugging on the extensions.
    • Avoid applying conditioner to the roots or bonds of the extensions to prevent slippage.
  2. Drying:

    • Pat hair gently with a towel to remove excess water; avoid vigorous rubbing.
    • Use a low-heat setting when blow-drying to prevent damage to the extensions and bonds.
    • Detangle hair using a wide-toothed comb, starting from the ends and gradually moving up.
  3. Styling:

    • Use heat protectant sprays before using hot styling tools.
    • Minimize heat exposure to extensions to prolong their lifespan.
    • Opt for loose hairstyles to prevent tension on the extensions and reduce the risk of tangling.
  4. Sleeping:

    • Braid or tie hair in a loose ponytail before sleeping to prevent tangling.
    • Consider using a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction and protect the extensions.
  5. Maintenance:

    • Schedule regular maintenance appointments with your stylist for adjustment and repositioning of the extensions.
    • Avoid excessive pulling or tugging on the extensions, especially when brushing or styling.
  6. Swimming and Exercise:

    • Prior to swimming, apply leave-in conditioner to create a barrier against chlorine or saltwater.
    • Tie hair up to prevent tangling while exercising, and wash hair afterward to remove sweat and buildup.
  7. Chemicals and Products:

    • Avoid hair products containing alcohol or oil near the bonds as they can weaken them.
    • Be cautious with hair dyes or chemical treatments; consult with a professional experienced in working with extensions.
    • Avoid suncream on hair extensions as they may discolour the hair.
  8. Avoiding Stress on Extensions:

    • Be gentle when handling your hair, especially when wet, as the extensions are more vulnerable.
    • Avoid activities that may cause excessive stress on the extensions, like frequent tight ponytails or buns.

Remember, these are general guidelines. Always follow the specific care instructions provided by your stylist or the brand of extensions you have, as different types of extensions may have slightly different care requirements.
